According to the Americans for Tax Reform website, 238 Representatives and 41 Senators have signed
this pledge.  Some of these have been in the news recently, trying to back out of the pledge on the basis
that they believe it was for only one term of office and not a perpetual pledge.  That is commendable, but
even so, signing such a pledge even for one term is a violation of the oath of office and the Constitution
for the reasons listed on the
previous page.  These are the 238 Representatives and 41 Senators listed
as having signed the pledge.  All are Republicans, except for Democrats Chandler of Kentucky, Nelson of
Nebraska and Andrews of New Jersey.  All are in the House, except where identified as Senator:
